FAQ's

Here are a few of our frequently asked questions....

How much deposit do I need to pay ?

A deposit of 50% of the cost of accommodation is required to secure your booking.  A booking confirmation will be forwarded to you upon confirmation of availability and receipt of payment.

Where do I pick up the key ?

Please pick up the key from Mt Lyford Holiday Homes Office, 34 Lulus Lane (unless otherwise arranged).

What is the check-in and check-out time ?

You may arrive anytime from 2pm, check out is by 10am on the day of your departure. If you wish to have a different check in or out time please arrange this before your stay.

Is there cell phone coverage in Mt Lyford ?

Since we are a remote location cell phone coverage is depending on your provider. Telecom service is reasonable with a clear view towards the South. For Vodaphone service, you might need to go up a bit higher to the Council Reserve at the top end of the village.

Do I need to bring linen ?

Unless linen is pre-arranged when you book your chalet, you are required to bring your own linen. The size of the beds is listed under each chalet's information. A bathmat and hand towel is supplied; please bring your own bath towels.

Do I need snow chains for my vehicle ?

In winter you are advised to bring snow chains for your vehicle. If you cannot reach your chalet because of omission of chains we cannot refund your booking. Note that some of the Mt Lyford roads are suitable for 4WD only.

Am I allowed to bring pets ?

Many of the chalets will not allow pets. It is essential for health reasons (i.e. allergies) that this is complied with. If you do stay in a chalet where pets are allowed, please keep your pet on the leash and in control at all times as we are surrounded by farmland.
